Talk Community is uniting Herefordshire!

Talk Community Hubs provide up-to-date health and wellbeing information, helping to bring residents together by connecting them to local services, groups, and activities both within their community and across the county.

Coffee is a fantastic way to bring people together, and we host a monthly coffee morning - so come along, enjoy a chat, a cup of tea or coffee, and maybe even a slice of cake!

LITTLE PLAY WORLD

Families are invited to enjoy two fantastic FREE play sessions this summer as Little Play World brings its exciting mobile pop-up role-play village to Holme Lacy Village Hall.

Taking place on Saturday 25 July 2026 and Saturday 15 August 2026, each session runs from 10:00am - 11:30am and offers children a wonderful opportunity to explore, imagine and play in a safe and engaging environment.

Little Play World is designed especially for young children (aged 1-7) who love pretending to be grown-ups.

 

The mobile role-play village features high-quality interactive play areas where children can become rockstars, shop keepers, police officers and much more.

 

With four imaginative role-play zones to explore, there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained while encouraging creativity, confidence and social play.

Scottish Country Dancing (Reeling)

Come and experience the joy of Scottish reeling firsthand!

Scottish reeling is a traditional country dance originating in Scotland, bringing people together through lively music, simple dance steps, and plenty of fun.

 

Whether you come with friends, family, a partner, or on your own, reeling is easy to join in and wonderfully social.

  • All ages and abilities welcome

  • Steps taught on the night

  • A fun and friendly atmosphere

 

Reeling isn't about getting every step perfect – it's about enjoying yourself and giving it a go!

£12.50 for a drop in session or £10.50 per session when booking 4 sessions or more.

 

Want to strengthen, flex, feel better, relax, breath well and find a sense of weekly calm?

With Liz Turner, Yoga teacher & holistic health consultant.  Liz guides a class suitable for all, with options and therapeutic elements.

Yoga mats available if you don't have one.

FRIDAY NIGHT BAR

FridayS from 19:00

The bar welcomes the public every Friday evening from 19:00 onwards, offering a licensed selection of alcoholic beverages.

Come along and mingle with village locals and visitors from afar for great conversation and a good laugh.

We offer a variety of drinks, including bottled and canned beer, lager, and cider, a selection of spirits with mixers, and red, white, and rosé wines. For those celebrating special moments, we also have Prosecco and Champagne.

If you have any specific favorites, let us know, and we can adjust our stock to meet individual preferences.

A selection of soft drinks and snacks is also available.

EASTER EGG HUNT

SUNDAY 5TH APRIL

We’re delighted to invite you to our annual Easter Egg Hunt.

This promises to be a wonderful afternoon of Easter fun for families and children of all ages.

 

Alongside the egg hunt itself, there will be a selection of games and prizes to enjoy, making it a fantastic way to celebrate the season together.

There is no charge to attend this event; however, booking is required so we can plan accordingly.

Your favourite BINGO night is back again!

Their food truck will be firing up the oven and serving delicious, freshly made wood-fired pizzas right here in the village.

 

Come along, grab a pizza, and make an evening of it with friends and neighbours. The village hall bar will be open, so you can enjoy a drink while you eat.

Children’s Christmas Party

Sunday 7TH DECEMBER 16:00

We’re delighted to invite families to our Children’s Christmas Party at Holme Lacy Village Hall on Sunday, 7th December from 4pm.


This festive afternoon promises fun and excitement for children of all ages - with seasonal music, games, and treats to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.


And of course, the highlight of the day will be a special visit from Santa Claus, who will be stopping by to meet the children and spread a little Christmas magic!

Beavers Group

EVERY MONDAY 17:30 - 18:45 For Boys And Girls Aged
6 To 8 YEARS OLD

When you join Beavers, you’ll be introduced to lots of new activities, people and things. 

Beavers are young people, aged 6 to 8, who:

  • Master new skills and try new things

  • Have fun and go on adventures

  • Make friends

  • Are curious about the world around them

  • Help others and make a difference, on their own doorsteps and beyond

 

Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.

SCOUTS Group

EVERY MONDAY 19:15 - 20:45 For Boys And Girls Aged
10½ To 14 YEARS OLD

When you join Scouts, you’ll be introduced to lots of new activities, people and things.

Scouts are a go-getting group of young people aged 10 ½ to 14 who: 

  • Master new skills and try new things

  • Make new friends

  • Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad

  • Explore the world around them

  • Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond


Week in and week out, they gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world.
